Peyton the copycat!
Well, we left Guangzhou for Hong Kong at roughly 6:30 and got into Hong Kong at around 7:00. We had about 4 hours to kill before our flight left for Los Angeles. We had a bit of trouble with our stroller. It seems China Southern was not prepared for about 15 strollers to be rolled onto the plane. and had us check them at the last minute. When we got to Hong Kong our strollers were not waiting at the gate and we had to go through customs to baggage claim to get them. Mom and I went together and it was very confusing!! We had to check through customs (filling out customs forms). then claim the stroller, then upstairs to departures where we were stopped again due to the stroller being an oversize item, then to the Cathay Pacific counter to correct the problem, back through departures, down two escalators to a train, and finally to the departure gate. Mom and I got there about 30 minutes before the plane was to depart. What a nightmare!! To any families who might have a stroller to take on the plane, don't let it out of your sight!!
The flight home was pretty good. Cathay Pacific is a wonderful airline and treats their customers very well! They gave us a diaper bag, toys for the baby, made special foods for the baby, and had good inflight entertainment with personal video screens. I would definitely fly Cathay Pacific again!
Peyton has met her god-parents - Uncle Ken and Auntie Tammy Decroo, Auntie Lin and Uncle Mike Jones, and Auntie Sue Strain. We have been introducing her to people slowly and she is doing really well. She met all the nice ladies in the school office too! Next month her Auntie Monique, Uncle Mike and cousins Ruthie and Anna will be here. WE CAN'T WAIT!!!!!
Her sleep has been disrupted a lot and we are trying to get her back to a routine. This is hard since we're all fighting the jet lag.
She loves her room, and is doing ok in the crib. The only thing that fightens her so far is the cats. She is getting better with them everyday. I'm sure they will be fast friends soon!!
Thanks again to everyone who followed our journey, and sent us so many wonderful emails. We cherish them, and will be putting them in Peyton's memory book.
